Obituary for Charles R. Broda

Charles R. Broda, Jr., age 85, a longtime resident of Hobart, passed away September 23, 2023. He was born in Gary, IN and proudly served as a U.S. Marine. Charles retired with over 40 years of service as a sheet metal journeyman with Local 20.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents-Charles and Mary (nee Solay) Broda; brother-Robert (Carol) Broda; sister-Gloria (Sam) Immel; in-laws-Lowell (Jenny) Lemon; nephew-Josh Field. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years-Mary (nee Lemon); in-laws-Nelson (Marcia) Lemon of Houston, TX; daughter-Susan (Don) Broda-Gibson; sons- Steve Broda, Jim (Kelly) Broda; grandchildren-Mike, Dave Love, Aric (Melissa) and Sean Gibson, Lindsey Pindara, Tom, Dan (Kylie) Broda; great grandchildren-Sydney Rushing, Gavin, Ava, Matthew, Ashley Gibson, Grace Slicker, Sienna, Max, Baily Love, Charlotte Broda, Evie and Levi Gibson; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
