born June 28, 1938 in Hobart, Indiana to Elmer and Anna (Owens) Scharbach. She was a
1956 graduate of Hobart High School and received an Associate Degree from Stephens

food and laughter, and elaborate decorations to celebrate every holiday. Bonnie especially

on safari in Africa and then skydiving in New Zealand at the age of 64. Bonnie also enjoyed
being a grandmother, adopting and caring for many pets and animals, and gardening and
had a long career as a cytotechnologist, retiring from the Bay Pines VA Hospital in 2018.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Dick; her sister
Sandra Funston; and brother-in-law Edward Funston and she will be dearly missed by her
sons Scott (Christine) Burns and Rob (Andrea) Ruzicka; grandchildren Rosalie and Travis
